Please note: First Steps events are for families and young people open to First Steps.
What is it?
This group is intended for parents and carers who want to know more about sensitive and effective parenting. It aims to: promote understanding of children’s behaviour within the context of developmental issues; promote the development of parent/child reciprocity; increase confidence and self-esteem in both parents and children; give parents a strategy for repair when things go wrong; and develop a framework of thinking about parent/child relationships which can be developed into a lifelong skill.
This is a 10 session programme + Welcome Group, running every Friday at 10:00-11:15 am from 09/10/2020 – 11/12/2020.
Who is it for?
For parents of pre-school children (aged 0-5 years).
The group will run virtually.
