Webinar: Understanding and Managing Emotions for Parents and Carers of Teens
This 3-part workshop is aimed for parents of children aged 12-18. Recording’s are from the latest workshop in March 2021. You can watch all three sessions below.
Session 1:
- Helps parents of teens to develop their understanding of emotions, the concept of emotional avoidance, and also the importance of understanding how the teenage brain influences emotions and behaviour.
Session 2:
- Contains a range of practical strategies to help parents cope and manage common situations when strong emotions show up when interacting with their teen.
Session 3:
- Looks at how parents have been implementing any of the new ideas or strategies previously learnt. This workshop session also considers how to manage emotions before, during and after they become overwhelming to your teen.
