Services

WellFamily Plus

The Hackney WellFamily Plus Service, provided by Family Action, helps individuals, couples and families to manage their mental health and prevent problems from getting worse.

We help families when they face difficult or complicated challenges, including domestic abuse, substance misuse and mental health issues. We can offer advice and wellbeing services, conflict management and practical and emotional relationship support.

We also help families identify parenting support courses and access other services.

Growing Minds

Growing Minds is a service that aims to improve African, Caribbean and mixed heritage children and young people’s emotional health and wellbeing in City & Hackney, during the important transition years from primary to secondary school and adolescence to adulthood.

Growing Minds is a partnership bringing together frontline African and Caribbean organizations in Hackney with Off Centre at Family Action. The project provides culturally aware counselling, emotional and practical support for African, Caribbean and mixed heritage children, young people and their families. Staff working on this project are of African, Caribbean and mixed heritage and so will have an awareness of some of the issues you may be facing.

Eligibility

We can help people aged 16 and over (including the parents of younger children) who are registered with a GP in City and Hackney.
