Off Centre (16-25s)

Off Centre is a confidential counselling, art therapy, advice and information service for young people aged 16-25 in City and Hackney. We help young people take greater control over their lives and offer support with all kinds of emotional and practical issues including:

  • Stress, depression, anger and self-harm
  • Bereavement or family breakdown
  • Sexuality and identity
  • Violence, neglect or abuse
  • Accommodation, education and more.

What we do: 

We offer a range of support:

  • 1-2-1 counselling and Art therapy
  • Practical advice and key-working
  • Therapeutic groups including Art Therapy and DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy) 
  • LGBTQI+ youth group (Project Indigo)
  • African, Caribbean & Mixed Heritage pathway with clinicians from matching background (see Growing Minds

Who is eligible?

For individual therapy, groups and core offer: 

  • Young people between the ages of 16 to 25 
  • Registered with a GP in Hackney or City of London
  • Presenting with mental health needs that are moderate or severe (see THRIVE)

Growing Minds (African, Caribbean pathway) can see young people from the ages of 11 with less severe mental health needs.
